Master of Art’s In Communications Thesis


This thesis project involved designing a social media sports marketing campaign for the NCAA Division III Penn State Harrisburg Men’s Soccer Team on Instagram and Twitter. Using framing theory, the campaign aimed to position the team as a top-tier program. Grounded theory guided the analysis of survey data to uncover insights for future improvements. The campaign was a success, and I invite everyone to explore the creative work from the 2021 season.

Required weekly guidelines for Instagram and Twitter:

  • Posts must include #PSHBGMSOC and #PrideSpiritHonor

  • Pregame graphic must include: opponent, time, location

  • Post - game graphic must include: opponent, final score

  • Weekly videos: feature stories & highlight videos
